Join artist Jane Bevan for a creative and sociable day of walking, collecting and
making art, using foraged natural materials from our parks, gardens and hedgerows.
After a stroll around the charming village of Cromford gathering fragments of nature, we will embark on a number of mini projects including leaf stitching, collage, curious creatures, wall hangings and nature weaving. We will use simple hand tools and techniques including tying, knotting, weaving, twining, plaiting and hand stitching.
This is a playful and relaxed way of working, transforming our foraged finds into beautiful, one-of-a-kind artworks, with some unexpected and surprising results. Nature will provide us with a rich resource of materials as well as a space to slow down, contemplate and really ‘notice’ nature.
